HaOgen changed me, made me a different woman: busy, involved, persistent, never giving up, never despairing, and more connected to the city I live in.
I admit that my heart is saddened that all of this happened because of a great disaster. And I would give up on all this good change, the price is too high. I really would give it up...
Things I do as a volunteer through HaOgen:
- Organize an event involving over 600 families and 250 volunteers
- Connect people, especially women. I initiate and create opportunities, encourage, and give women a place to pour out their hearts and complain, listen to crying and despair, pray, recruit large organizations to help, tell anyone who is willing to hear about the challenges of the reservist families, raise money, and build inclusive and supportive spaces.
What I love most is face-to-face meetings with these amazing women, who literally hold the country's security on their shoulders. I love the hugs and the personal connection- some reservist wives send me ultrasound pictures on WhatsApp. I am lucky in this world, to be in a place and time that allow me to help.

We are excited to share with you an amazing and empowering evening that took place last week in Mi'ilia in the Western Galilee in collaboration with KKL-JNF, Kerem El Association and HaOgen for the Families of Reservists. 150 reservist wives from the Druze communities came to an event that was all about them! The women came from Horfish, Kasra Samea and Beit Jen, some of whose husbands had recently returned from a reserve tour, and some whose husbands were still serving on the front lines. During this exciting evening, the women enjoyed an amazing lecture by Lior Shani, a special and feminine stand-up show by artist Shoshana Benadava, a sumptuous dinner, and a fun drink to take home. The evening was amazing! So much power from strong and inspiring women in one place!

The Pre-Military Preparatory Program Kerem-El

For almost a year, Noa Yeshar El and I have been running the HaOgen branch for reservist families in Givatayim.
For almost a year, volunteers have been walking dogs, folding laundry, helping with the children, cooking hot meals for Shabbat for the city's reservist families, and more.
The end is not in sight. But we are still recruiting....

HaOgen for Reservist Families - thank you very much! For your activity to strengthen the home front. For the anchor you give us at a time when the waves of life wash over us, in a reality where the upheaval and storms are part of our sailing routine and we do not always see the shore of safety on the horizon.
The anchor is not just a metaphor, it is truly the opportunity for us to be helped, to receive support, to gather our strength to continue our family tasks and to participate in the national efforts to make a difference.
